Project Manager
Compensation: 55-70K Annually
Location: In-office role - Sheridan, Oregon
Travel: 2-6 trips per year (nationwide)
My client in the fabrication/design industry is seeking a skilled, experienced Project Manager who can coordinate complex fabrication projects and contribute to refining internal processes for improved efficiency and reduced errors.
Position Overview
The Project Manager will oversee projects from concept through fabrication and installation, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations, timelines, and quality standards. This role requires proactive decision-making, strong communication, and the ability to manage shifting schedules with clarity and calm.
Key Responsibilities
- Ask the team what they need to succeed-and ensure those needs are met.
- Coordinate closely with designers and the fabrication manager to keep projects on schedule.
- Use seasoned project management instincts to anticipate issues and take timely preventative action.
- Manage shifting schedules with flexibility, prioritizing strong communication within the team.
- Assess how various schedules intersect-lead times, client expectations, shop capacity, installation timelines-to find the best path to on-time delivery.
- Track all components and deliverables for each project; maintain clear oversight of all parts being produced.
- Support quality control through fabrication and staging, including reviewing shipping documents to ensure they are accurate, complete, and professionally presented.
- Monitor all project schedules across the business to support workflow alignment and planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (four-year college).
- Several years of project management experience, ideally within fabrication, construction, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly, consistently, and professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and dynamic timelines.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in exhibit fabrication, construction, or similar hands-on production environments.
- Process-driven mindset with an interest in improving workflows and reducing errors.
- Collaborative, supportive leadership style.
